بررسی تدابیر «پردیس اکو» پایدار: تجربه دانشگاه صباح مالزی
چکیده:
آرمان پایداری، تعادل بین نیازهای اجتماعی با رشد و پیشرفت اقتصادی و یکپارچگی محیط زیست است. اهمیت این آرمان نمی تواند بیش از حد مورد تاکید قرار گیرد، بطوری که محوطه و پردیس پایدار باید در نهادهای آموزشی عالی پیاده شود تا پایداری محیط زیستی را پرورش دهند. در 2013 دانشگاه صباح مالزی (UMS) ایده محوطه دانشگاهی پایدار (پردیس اکو) را به همراه تاسیس مرکز مدیریت پردیس اکو معرفی کرد. این مقاله، تدابیر رایج برای دستیابی به این بینش پردیس اکو را بر اساس منابع ثانوی و فرعی اطلاعات بررسی میکند. گزارشات مربوط به تدابیر UMS برای دستیابی به محوطه ای پایدار برای مدت دوره زمانی بین 2013 تا فوریه 2015 بدست آمدند. یافته ها نشان می دهند که UMS با موفقیت یک طرح 5 ساله را برای 2013 تا 2017 معرفی کرد تا UMS را به پردیس اکو از جمله پروژه های محافظت از منابع طبیعی و ذخیره انرژی تبدیل کند.

Exploring strategies for sustainable ‘ecocampus’: The experience of Universiti Malaysia Sabah
Abstract
The ideal of sustainability is to balance social needs with economic growth and environmental integrity. The importance of this ideal cannot be over-emphasised such that sustainable campus should be implemented in higher educational institutions to nurture the practice of environmental sustainability. In 2013, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) introduced the idea of sustainable campus (EcoCampus) accompanied by the establishment of EcoCampus Management Centre. This paper explores current strategies to achieve this vision of EcoCampus based on secondary sources of information. Reports regarding the UMS strategies to achieve sustainable campus were obtained for the period 2013 – February 2015. The findings reveal that UMS has successfully introduced a five-year plan for the period of 2013 to 2017 to transform UMS into EcoCampus including natural resource conservation and energy saving projects.
